Lots of Socks in Trinidad!

21 March 2019 was designated World Down Syndrome Day.

To get the world talking about WDSD on 21 March 2019,  people were asked to help by wearing #LotsOfSocks! But not just any socks… to wear official #LotsOfSocks socks, other brightly coloured socks, long socks, printed socks, 1 sock… even 3 socks for 3 chromosomes. If you do not normally wear socks, wear them! Wear them at home, nursery, school, college, university, work, play, travel, on holiday…wherever you will be on 21 March!

In Trinidad, St. Bernadette’s Primary School and Holy Faith Primary School got into the spirit by joining with others to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down Syndrome. Pictures below show both schools sporting their multi coloured socks.
